PESHAWAR, Nov 1: The central working committee of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has denounced the US bombing on civilian population and hospitals in Afghanistan and termed it a violation of United Nations resolutions.
The committee, which met here on Wednesday, passed unanimous resolutions, appealing to all international organizations, including the UN, the organization of Islamic Countries (OIC), the Common Wealth and the International Human Rights Organisation, to ensure the safety of human lives and exert pressure on the US to halt military operation in Afghanistan.
The committee, through another resolution, condemned the government police to advise the Press, saying that the government was trying to suppress freedom of the Press. Through such policies, the Musharraf government was destabilizing the country, it added.
Through another resolution, the PML condemned the church killings in Bahawalpur, and said the objective behind that barbaric act was to defame Pakistan in the international community.
