13 gamblers arrested

HARIPUR, Oct 31: The Khanpur police raided a gambling den in Khanpur area and arrested 13 gamblers along with stake money and a car. However, the owner of the den managed to escape from the scene.

The Khanpur police, on a tip-off, raided the house of Raja Amjad Ali, a notorious gambler who had been running the den for a long time in connivance with some black sheep in the police department.

The police claimed to have arrested 13 people and took stake money of Rs300,000 and a car bearing registration No-278 HR, into its custody.
