KARACHI, Oct 31: Sindh governor, Muhammedmian Soomro, on Wednesday issued directive for ensuring early recovery of government dues against various people and organizations.
Addressing the district coordination officers (DCOs) and executive district officers (EDOs) from all over the province at the governor,s house, the governor pointed out that the people in rural and urban areas were faced with water, health and education problems, while the government was short of resources and some people were misusing the available resources.
The governor asked the district authorities to pay their dues to Wapda and other organisations in time.
He said the people had pinned great hopes on the new system and the district officers had an important role to play for its success and for making the basic facilities available at the grassroots level. He stressed the need for close contact of officers with the Nazims and elected representatives.
Mohammedmian Soomro directed that the funds for projects under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme, Food Support Programmes, and Annual Development Programme be timely utilised. —APP
