KARACHI: Education census from Nov 13


KARACHI, Oct 31: The Sindh education department is launching a 3-day education census in the province from November 13.

According to an announcement here on Wednesday, the census will cover elementary, secondary schools and colleges- both public and private, NGO schools, technical and commercial institutions in public and private sector.

The exercise will also include survey of all employees working under the education department.

Workshops in all the 16 districts of the province have been conducted. At these workshops the district officers education and other concerned staff were briefed on census activities and how to fill-up the forms.

16 operational centres for census activities have been established at each district headquarter. Executive district officers education have been declared heads of the operational centres.

Filling of the census forms is the responsibility of heads of institutions, while the responsibility of verification rests with supervisors. The district officer education concerned will verify the information provided by heads of institutions.

After completing the task of collection and authentication, the duly filled in questionnaires and other record will be handed over to district officers of SEMIS for entry in the computer. The authenticity of the information provided will be the responsibility of executive district officers education.—PPI/APP
