US team leaves for Jacobabad

By Mohammad Asghar

ISLAMABAD, Oct 30: A 7-member US team, which included military personnel, flew to Jacobabad on a special plan from Islamabad on Tuesday at about 4pm, source said.

The team, which was seen off at Islamabad International Airport by the US embassy military attache, comprised Torjenkin, Ranoyhostov, Kevenlemicux, Jaes-a-Exanpet, Moatonkonton, Sansnat, Gortonspexon.

Shahbaz air base in Jacobabad is one of at least three being used by the US military as part of Pakistan’s commitment to provide the United States with non-combat logistical support for strikes on Afghanistan.

Since the US military began using Shahbaz air base, the Pakistan army had been deployed in the city, as backups for rangers and police.
