SUKKUR, Oct 30: Chief of Tehrik-i-Jafria Pakistan (TJP), Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi, has termed government’s Afghan policy positive and in accordance with ‘our international’ commitments and national interests.
He, however, called for extreme caution and restraint while carrying air raids on Afghanistan, adding that they be targeted only for eliminating the terrorism camps.
At a press conference on Tuesday at Markazi Imam Bargah Imamiya, here, Allama Naqvi said that his name had also been included in the Pak-Afghan Defence Council, “but for all practical purpose we are nowhere”.
He said that his community was the victim of terrorism for the last 13 years and for this he blamed the Afghan policy pursued by the governments in these years.
He deplored that in US air strikes, innocent people were being killed adding that his party sympathized and supported civilian population of Afghanistan, and called for a political solution of the problem.
The TJP chief also called for the accountability of those who were responsible for pursuing an unfriendly Afghan policy, as a result of which both Pakistan and Afghanistan were facing present crisis.
