KARACHI, Oct 30: Pre-entry admission tests at the NED University would be held on Nov 10, and the last date for submission of admission forms is Oct 31, expiring tomorrow.
The results would be announced on the same day and the classes would commence from Jan 7, an official of the varsity said here on Tuesday.
PH.D PROGRAMME: The Board of Advance Studies and Research, NED University, will grant the first Ph.D. degree to one of its faculty member in the beginning of 2002, under the Faculty Up-gradation Programme, launched two years back.
Registrar NED University, Dr Ghulam Qadir Shah, said on Tuesday that NED is the first and only public Sector University in Pakistan to have an indigenous Ph.D. programme for faculty up-gradation and it would be the first time in the history of the country for any engineering student to get Ph.D. degree locally under the supervision of local supervisors.—PPI
