ISLAMABAD, Oct 29: City School were crowned champions of the inter-school football tournament Monday after they defeated Islamabad College of Arts and Science (ICAS) 3-2.

Haseeb earned the lead for City School cashing in on a rebound from rival goalkeeper Shakeeb after Isfandyar had sent in a capital centre in the 15th minute of play.

Rizwan enhanced City’s lead with a strike in the 22nd minute but ICAS quickly struck back with Abu Bakar scoring off a pass from Davis to make it 1-2.

City were themselves to blame for going on the defensive in the second half, allowing Abu Bakar to net his second goal, this time from the spot-kick leaving the match delicately poised.

Abid Ali clinched the the match for City eight minutes from time before Abu Bakar gave the winners a scare, his shot from close range hitting the post.
