Inaugural flight

FAISALABAD, Oct 28: A maiden direct Faisalabad-Jeddah flight left Faisalabad airport on Saturday night.

Airbus A-300 carrying 220 passengers was seen off by the local management of the PIA. The same returned on Sunday morning as a part of its routine weekly flight.

Earlier, a function was held at a local hotel to celebrate the inaugural flight. It was attended by district Nazim Zahid Nazir, city Nazim Mumtaz Ali Cheema, local businessmen, industrialists and traders.

The district Nazim thanked the PIA management for starting the Faisalabad-Jeddah flight, and demanded restoration of direct Haj flights from the city.—APP
