OIC urged to condemn US attacks

MULTAN, Oct 28: America will attack other Muslim states in furtherance of its so-called anti-terrorism campaign, if OIC member countries do not condemn military operation in Afghanistan.

Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, Lashkar-i-Taiba chief Prof Muhammad Saeed said president Pervez Musharraf should call a meeting of OIC countries to take stock of the situation faced by the Islamic world.

He demanded that the government should reversed its Afghan policy in order to stop the massacre of civilians in the war-ravaged country.

Labelling jihad as terrorism, the US-led forces were victimizing jihadis and civilians in Afghanistan, he said.

After Afghanistan, he feared, the next targets would be the freedom fighters of Kashmir and Philippines.

Prof Saeed was of the view that our atomic installations would also be attacked, adding that president Bush’s recent visit to China was part of this plan.

He claimed India would have attacked Pakistan if Lashkar-i-Taiba’s mujahideen had not destroyed eight fighter planes at the Srinagar airbase. — Nouman
