Farid slams hat trick as KPT rout Habib Bank
BAHAWALPUR, Oct 27: Karachi Port Trust (KPT), powered by a Farid Majeed hat trick, routed Habib Bank 3-0 in the President PFF Cup football tournament Saturday.
KPT opened the scoring with a Farid goal in the 33rd minute who doubled the lead five minutes later.
The striker sealed the fate of the match and completed his hat trick in the 70th minute.
In another match, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) edged out Crescent Mills, Faisalabad, 2-1.
The losing side got off to a fine start with an 8th minute goal from Adeel Iqbal who netted off a Mohammad Sajjad pass.
KRL’s Allah Nawaz put the match on an even keel in the 78th minute. Sajjad scored the winner when he fired home a cross from Saeed.
