LAHORE, Oct 27: The three-year-old colt Jet Master is fancied to win the Mianwali Cup which is the feature event of the 8th Lahore Winter Meeting to be run over seven furlongs at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Jet Master is a thoroughbred bay colt from Al Trui-out-of- Pretty Face and is contesting in the fifth race of the day.

In all, six races are scheduled to be organised. Nine acceptors are in the run for the cup event, barring any last-minute withdrawal.

The colt Jet Master has been in form during the on-going Lahore Winter Meetings. He has won three races in-a-row and on occasion has given an improved performance.

His form and consistency suggests that he should claim the top honour in the feature event on Sunday.

The four-year-old dark-bay colt Black Jet, a progeny of Cry For The Clown-out-of-Super Heel, is yet to win during the current season in Lahore. However, he is reported to be tracking well during the morning work-outs.

He is capable of posing a challenge to Jet Master. The roan horse Green Hill and the bay colt Crown Maker can fight it out for the frame.

Two interesting races, one for the three-year-old maidens and the other for two-year-old maidens, thoroughbreds, are on the Sunday’s card. They will be contested over six and five furlongs, respectively.

These events are a source of amusement for the race-lovers.

The first race will start at 12.30 pm.
