JUI condemns US attacks

MARDAN Oct 27: Jammiat Ulama-i-Islam (JUI) of Fazlur Rehman group, held a public meeting at Kachehri Chowk here after the Friday prayers condemning the US airstrikes on Afghanistan and termed it as terrorism against innocent Afghans.

Earlier, people gathered at Firdaus Khan Masjid formed into a procession which culminated at Kachehri Chowk after a public meeting against US air raids.

Shujaul Mulk, general secretary of the JUI, who led the procession, addressed the meeting. He condemned the airstrikes on Afghanistan and said that these attacks were being carried out against the innocent people of the area. He said that all American claims and those of its allies that they have achieved their targets by bombing the so-called terrorist camps inside Afghanistan were false.
