KARACHI, Oct 27: The Maritime Security Agency (MSA), in collaboration with the Fishermen’s Cooperative Society (FCS), will repatriate 196 Indian fishermen along with 32 boats on Oct 30, it was officially announced here.

A ceremony will be held in Keamari on board a MSA ship for handing over the boats and other belongings to the Indian fishermen.

According to an official announcement, Commanding Office, MSS Nazim, will bid farewell to the Indian fishermen and present gifts and souvenirs at the time of their departure.

Two MSA corvettes will escort the boats up to the international boundary. The FCS will also provide them 196 life jackets up to Pakistani water.

Earlier, a coordination committee meeting chaired by Ali Hasan Brohi, deputy secretary home, reviewed the modalities of the repatriation.

Meanwhile, a four-member Pakistani delegation headed by Anawarul Islam, Deputy Director Sindh Fisheries, will leave for Bombay on Oct 29 to join the earlier seven-member delegation to take the custody of 202 Pakistani fishermen and 21 boats released by the Indian government.
