KARACHI, Oct 27: A spokesman for the University of Karachi, on Saturday, denied press reports about an individual deported through Karachi airport.
He said that the foreign students’ adviser of the University had not issued any handout about the status of any such person.
It was stated that the government agencies enquire routinely about foreign students and the university, being a government organ, complies to such requests as per prescribed procedures.
“Further to that the administration has totally denied to have any such student enrolled at the Department of Microbiology at present.”
Asrar-i-Khudi: The facsimile reproduction of R. A. Nicholson’s translation of Asrar-i-Khudi by Allama Muhammad Iqbal has been published by the Karachi University Press.
It has been edited and analyzed by Dr Saeed A. Qureshi, who has written extensively on Iqbal. The 240-page book is priced at Rs160.
Dr Qureshi has written two seminal books on Iqbal’s life Iqbal Europe Mein and Navadir-i-Iqbal Europe Mein. In these two books the author has brought out many aspects of Iqbal’s life that were unknown before.—APP
