By Our Correspondent

DADU, Oct 26: One alleged robber was killed in exchange of fire between villagers and robbers in village Dodo Solangi in taluka Johi late on Thursday night, 24 kilometres off here. According to detail, four robbers barged into the house of Ghulam Nabi Solangi and held all the inmates hostage in a room and attempted to rob gold and other valuables.

On that occasion Ghulam Nabi offered resistance and he was severely beaten up. When the family members raised hue and cry, a large number of villagers cordoned-off the house and after exchange of fire for half an hour one robber, identified as Hussain son of Allah Dino Jamali, residence of Bahawalpur village, was killed while his three accomplices escaped from the scene leaving the loot.

A gun (No. 5200 DBBL) and 20 cartridges were recovered from the possession of the deceased. The villagers handed over the body to Johi police.
