PESHAWAR, Oct 24: The first ever ‘Revenue School’ of the province would start functioning from Feb 1 at Karak.
The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held here on Wednesday with Revenue, Excise and Taxation Minister Aminullah Khan Gandapur in the chair.
The meeting discussed various matters pertaining to the establishment of school. It was informed that the building of vocational institute had been selected for the purpose.
The renovation work of the building would be completed in two months and all facilities, including hostel, would be available there for both the staff and the students.
Retired revenue officers would be appointed teachers and senior officials would also pay visit to the school to deliver lectures.
Refresher courses for the government officers would be held besides imparting training to the staff of the revenue department.
The minister hoped that with the establishment of the revenue school, there would be fundamental changes in the revenue collection procedure.
The minister said that students would be trained to meet the challenges of the modern world.—APP
