Jaffar rocks NBP with seven for 43
KARACHI, Oct 23: Right-arm pace bowler Jaffar Nazir bowled KRL into a winning position by claiming seven for 43 in National Bank’s second innings on the third day of the Patron’s Trophy Grade-I clash at Saga Ground, Sialkot Tuesday.
Wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal slammed a defiant 109 off 123 balls as National Bank reached 273 in their second innings, according to details available here.
KRL, who had obtained a first innings lead of 89, closed the day on 29 for no loss after being set 185 for victory.
National Bank appeared in great danger of going down by innings when they lost the first six wickets for 55 runs. But Kamran, who batted for two hours and 40 minutes, and all-rounder Mohammad Javed (45 off 102 balls) came together in a seventh wicket partnership of 132.
