Awais proves match-winner
LAHORE, Oct 23: Two goals by centre-forward Awais helped Government Shakar Gunj High School, Arifwala beat Javed High School, Manga Mandi 3-0 in the
35th Jafar Memorial Inter-School Hockey Championship at the Ali Institute ground Monday.
Awais struck in the 16th and 24th minute to give his team 2-0 lead at the interval.
After half time, inside-left Navid Anjum found the net in the 42nd minute to complete the tally.
In the second match, Zamindar School, Gujrat out-stroked Government High School No.1 Kamoke 4-3 after locking in 1-1 draw at regulation time.
For the winners, centre-half Khurram scored the goal in the 48th minute.
Earlier the losing team centre-half Atiq put his team in front by scoring a goal in the 31st minute.
