Dacoits on shooting spree

VEHARI, Oct 23: Dacoits killed two people and injured a trader in three strikes in the district during the last 24 hours.

Five dacoits reportedly burst into Naseemullah’s house in Gangle Brali area on Monday night and resorted to firing when he resisted, leaving him injured. They fled with ornaments and other valuables worth Rs 500,000 after locking the inmates in a room.

In second strike, as many dacoits entered the house of Ghulam Muhammad at Chowk Maitla and opened fire when he put up resistance.

Two gunmen entered the house of Ghulam Mujtaba at Tibba Sultanpur and shot him before fleeing with cash. He also died on the spot.

Two highwaymen deprived Rao Alamgir of Jalla Jeem of his bike and Rs 8,000 cash.
