ISLAMABAD, Oct 22: Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev has expressed support, solidarity and fraternity with the government and people of Pakistan in the present difficult situation.

The support was expressed in a message which Askar Aitmatov, adviser to the Kyrgyzstan president, delivered to President Gen Pervez Musharraf during a meeting here on Monday.

The meeting follows Mr Aitmativ’s discussions with Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar.

President Musharraf expressed gratitude and deep appreciation for his Kyrgyz counterpart for sending his adviser to share views on the evolving situation in the region.

The Kyrgyz admired decisiveness and courage of Pakistan in joining the international community in fight against terrorism.—H.A.

Earlier, the Kyrgyz adviser arrived here on Monday on a three-day visit, adds APP.
