One killed, six injured in accident

THATTA, Oct 21: A man was killed and six were injured, two of them critically, as two pickups collided head-on at Chuhar Jamali-Sujawal Road on Sunday.

Ali Mohammad Soomro succumbed to injuries while on way to a hospital in the coastal town of Chuhar Jamali.

The injured were identified as Mohammad Essa Otho, Hakim Otho, Abdul Rahim Soomro, Jadam Soomro, Abdul Karim Soomro and Mohammad Ali Soomro.

Essa and Abdul Rahim were taken to taluka hospital Sujawal while the remaining four were being treated at Chuhar Jamali hospital.

The driver of a pickup belonging to Met office, Mohammad Ashraf Awan, has been arrested.
