Eight Hesco officials booked for robbery

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, Oct 21: Rajkumar, a resident of Shahdadkot, has lodged a robbery case with the district police against eight Hesco employees.

Those nominated in the FIR are Wapda SDO Munish Ali Leghari, line superintendents Manzoor Ahmed Wadho, Manzoor Ahmed Ghori, Ali Sher, linemen Safdar Shaikh, Aijaz Ghaloo and Ahmed Khan and meter reader Aandal.

Rajkumar, in his petition he filed in the Sindh High Court, Larkana circuit bench, has alleged that the SDO, with the other Hesco officials, had come to his house on Sept 5 for checking the electricity meter.

He said the officials had not only beaten him, but had also broken his colour television, air-conditioner and gold ornaments.

The court ordered the registration of an FIR against the accused. None of the accused had been arrested till the filing of this report.
