ISLAMABAD, Oct 19: Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan, Gack Said Ghaffar also called on Kashmir Affairs minister and discussed Afghan refugee humanitarian crisis and other related issues.
The ambassador informed the minister that Indonesia has allocated 500,000 dollars for Afghan refugees which will be given in five stages.
He said that Indonesian minister for social welfare is due next week with medicines, relief goods amounting to 100,000 dollars and a team of six doctors.
The doctors will stay in refugee camps for 30 days. He said that other relief goods would be purchased in Pakistan for the refugees.
The minister thanked him for the good gesture of Indonesia by providing relief assistance to the refugees and the decision to purchase goods from Pakistan, which would benefit Pakistan’s economy.
The minister informed the policy on Pakistan-Afghan borders, which are closed and only visa and genuine document holders are allowed to enter Pakistan.
The ambassador also discussed other related issues regarding Afghan crisis.
