By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Oct 19: Representatives of various political parties and civil society organizations, condemning the US-led allied forces’ bombing on Afghanistan, have demanded an immediate end to the military campaign.

A meeting, which was held in the office of the Amnesty International, under the chairmanship of Pakistan Workers Party’s Yusuf Mustikhan on Friday, said that a large number of civilians were being killed due to the carpet bombing on Afghan cities.

The meeting also condemned the Sept 11 terrorist attacks on two cities of the United States in which a large number of innocent civilians died.

They announced to organize a seminar on “Socio-economic Effects of Afghan War on Pakistan” at Sidco Centre on Oct 27, which will be followed by a protest demonstration near the Press Club.

Those who attended the meeting included Fauzia Wahab, Kanwar Khalid Yunus, Wakil Khan Sawati, Amin Khattak, Umer Baloch, Zubair Rehman, M B Naqvi, Moazzam Ali, Shamsuddin, Saliha Ather, Shahid Baloch and Ghiyasuddin.
