KARACHI: Class IX results today

Published October 20, 2001

KARACHI, Oct 19: The Board of Secondary Education will announce the results of Class IX (Science Group) Annual Examinations 2001, on Saturday.

This was stated by the BSE Chairman, Mohammad Aziz Ansari, on Friday.

He said that as many as 77,000 candidates appeared in the examinations that were conducted in March this year.

It was stated that the result is being notified after a delay of about a month.

A senior BSE official said that the delay was caused as the board was entrusted with the task of preparing merit lists for admissions to first-year classes in colleges under the Centralized Admission Policy.—APP
