NEW YORK, Oct 18: The New York Rangers scored a 4-3 overtime victory over the New Jersey Devils in NHL action Wednesday as Eric Lindros scored against his nemesis and Theo Fleury’s goal 80 seconds into the extra period secured the win.

Lindros was playing against the Devils for the first time since Game Seven of the Eastern Conference finals on May 26, 2000, when he was flattened by defenseman Scott Stevens while playing for the Philadelphia Flyers.

Wednesday’s results: (home team in CAPS):

NY Islanders 4 CAROLINA 0

NY RANGERS 4 Jersey 3 (OT)

Dallas 2 ST LOUIS 2 (OT)
