Policeman held in rape case
LAHORE, Oct 18: A policeman and one of his accomplices named in a rape case were arrested on Thursday night.
Sabzazar police was approached by the ‘victim’, a girl, on Wednesday that Rizwan and two policemen had raped her on Oct 11.
She had said Rizwan had an acquaintance with her after having a meeting at a wedding ceremony. Rizwan took her to a house on the pretext of meeting his wife on her return from a workshop on Multan Road where she had gone to get repaired a telephone set.
Sabzazar police claimed that they raided the house where the girl had allegedly been gang-rapped and found some clues. Following the clues, Rizwan was arrested from a house in Samanabad, they said.
Rizwan led police to the arrest of accused Arshad who was posted at Nawankot police station.
Police claimed that raids were being conducted for the arrest of the third accused.
