HYDERABAD, Oct 17: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chairman Bashir Khan Qureshi and vice chairman Niaz Kalani were arrested at the latter’s residence in Qasimabad on Wednesday.

On a tip-off, about 12 mobiles of the district police headed by the DSP of Qasimabad and the DSP of CIA blocked all the entry and exit routes leading to Mr Kalani’s house.

Both leaders surrendered to the police. Sources said they that were being kept at the CIA Centre behind the Baldia police station and no one was being allowed entry to the premises.

The JSQM gave a strike call for Thursday in Sindh to protest against the arrest.
