GUJRANWALA, Oct 17: The Punjab education department resolved the general confusion among students studying computer science as a subject at intermediate level and informed all chairmen of Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education that students could study computer science as an optional or elective subject.

According to a notification issued on Wednesday, humanities and science students can also study computer science as an additional subject in addition to their regular combinations.

However, that board will not conduct examination of computer science subject, evaluate the scripts, award marks and reflect these marks in the result cards of the candidates. Marks obtained in computer science as an additional subject will, therefore, have no bearing on the overall grades of the candidates.

NAZIM’S VISIT: Tehsil city council Naib Nazim Ehsanullah paid a surprise visit to Civil Lines fire brigade and found the entire staff absent from duty at 9 am on Wednesday.

He recommended stern action against the officials.
