KARACHI: Bandit gets 7 years’ RI

KARACHI, Oct 17: The district and sessions judge, South, Agha Rafique Ahmed Khan, sentenced, on Wednesday, a bandit to suffer rigorous imprisonment for seven years.

The judge also imposed a fine of Rs50,000 on accused Musawwir Ali, who would have to undergo an additional six-month term in case of default on payment.

The accused, along with his accomplice, Nadim, had attempt to commit a robbery at the Yadgar Service Station in Artillery Maidan on Aug 17, 2000.

The court declared accused Nadim as a proclaimed offender in the case.
