The meeting held under the chairmanship of DCO Karachi, Shafiqur Rehman Paracha, was attended by principals and administrators of all private schools of Karachi, besides officials of the education department.

It was decided to set up a coordination committee to promote cooperation between the education department of the city government and private schools. The executive district officer (EDO) private schools was appointed coordinator of the committee.

The meeting took stock of the problems caused by parking, traffic safety and traffic load due to private schools established on roadsides. It was agreed to resolve them through mutual understanding.

The DCO underlined the need for maintaining standardised school buses. He said that this would help overcome traffic problems including parking, besides developing discipline, affinity and love among children.
