By-election in Mithi

MITHI, Oct 16: By-election at 13 polling stations of UC Bhakuo, tehsil Mithi, was held on Tuesday.

According to unofficial results, Manji Bheer, candidate of Arbab-Itehad, has been elected as Nazim of UC Bhakuo, securing 1,870 votes whereas his rival, ADP’s candidate Jetmal secured 1,679 votes.

While visiting these polling stations it was observed that the polls were conducted in smooth and peaceful manner and no untoward incident was reported from any polling station. The turnout was above 50 per cent.
