KARACHI, Oct 15: The 50th death anniversary of Pakistan’s first prime minister, Liaquat Ali Khan, will be observed on Tuesday.
In a message, president of the All Pakistan Women’s Association (Apwa), Tazeen Faridi, said that the day had a special significance in the history of Pakistan.
“On this day, millions of Pakistanis turn their thoughts to the tragic assassination, which removed from their midst a great leader whose memory is still afresh in the people’s hearts,” She observed.
His life and dedication to the cause of Pakistan and his honesty and integrity are the qualities that should be upheld as a beacon of light to this generation and the generations ahead, Ms Faridi added.—APP
