SYDNEY, Oct 14: Veteran Australian Test batsman Mark Waugh scored a century as New South Wales set an innings record of 397 for four from their 50 overs in beating Tasmania in an Australian interstate match Sunday.

The innings total was an Australian interstate one-day game record, smashing the previous best of 325 for five by Western Australia state against New South Wales in Perth in 2000-01 and 325 for six by South Australia against Tasmania in Hobart in 1986-87.
