KARACHI: Cabinet asks people to stay away from strikes

KARACHI, Oct 13: Sindh Governor Muhammedmian Soomro has stressed the need for bringing quality in the working of government employees for the purpose of their promotion.

Presiding over a special meeting of Sindh Cabinet at Governor House on Saturday, the governor called for admonishing corrupt and negligent employees and encouraging hard working and dutiful ones.

Calling for decision-making at every level, the governor said every official should take decisions which are in his powers.

He pointed out that it only causes inconvenience to people when matters are kept in the pending and minor things and decisions thereof are left to superiors.

Addressing the cabinet, the Governor Muhammedmian Soomro made it clear that there was a complete freedom of expression in the province. However, it is quite improper to unleash lawlessness in Karachi so people should keep themselves away from strikes.—APP
