DARA ADAMAMKHEL, Oct 12: Five major tribes here on Friday have announced that they would resume manufacturing of heavy weapons despite government’s ban and would supply these weapons to the Taliban and Jihadi groups in their war against the USA.
For expressing solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and assuring support to Mullah Mohammad Omar and Osama bin Laden, a big protest demonstration of the five tribes — Zarghunkhel, Akhurwal, Bosthikhel, Thor Chappar and Sherkai— was held at Zarghunkhel post here in this tribal town known for guns manufacturing.
The protest meeting was presided over by Haji Said Wazirand and was addressed by local chief of Jaish-i-Mohammad, Maulana Mohammad Sabir, local chief of Jamaat-i-Islami, Haji Mohammad, Haji Mohammad Zaman Afridi, Manzoor Khan and leaders of Hizbul Mujahideen.
The organizers of the meeting took oath from hundreds of tribal participants, vowing that they would fully support the Taliban in their war against US and its allies.
The speakers said that although the government had imposed complete ban on manufacturing of heavy weapons, but from now onward they would flout that order and make all sorts of sophisticated weapons for onward provision to their brothers in Afghanistan. They declared that the US the most hardened terrorist in the world, saying that the US and its allies had let loose a reign of terror across the world.
They warned President Gen Pervaiz Musharraf not to allow the US troops on Pakistani soil and not to side with the infidels otherwise his government would be overthrown by the Pakistanis. The armed protesters also put to torch an effigy of US President George W.Bush and US flag. It was decided to hold another protest demo on Sunday.
Meanwhile, prayer leaders in all the mosques of the town termed the announcement of Jehad by the Taliban against the US in line with Islamic teachings.
