PESHAWAR, Oct 11: The Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that the backlash of the attacks on Afghanistan could result in the radicalization of Pakistan.

Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club here on Thursday, the PTI chief apprehended that the series of air strikes on Afghanistan could bring in a radical government in Pakistan.

He said that the US administration should take into account the difficulties Pakistan was going through because of the rising public support for the country’s radical organizations backing Osama bin Laden.

Though at present religio-political organizations could not cause much trouble for the government on the face of their thinly attended protest rallies, they might muster greater public support in the days to come causing spread of extremism in the country.

Pakistan was already faced with a staggering economy and political instability, hence the attack and its impact would further affect the socio-economic conditions of Pakistan, said Imran.
