KARACHI, Oct 10: The intensity of the tropical cyclone developing in the Arabian Sea weakened on Wednesday, bringing relief to the people of Karachi, where the intensity of heat also reduced.

The Met office recorded the maximum temperature at 38 degrees Celsius against Tuesday’s maximum temperature of 42.6 degrees Celsius in Karachi.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 24.5 degrees Celsius. Humidity in the air increased to 41 per cent from 21 per cent.

The Met office forecast hot and dry weather for Thursday with the maximum temperature, ranging between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius.

The cyclone, which developed on Tuesday, is presently lying at 19.4 degrees North and 66.8 degrees East and has lost its intensity. It is 650km away from the city. The Meteorological department reported that the cyclone was moving away from Pakistan and none of its areas was under threat.—APP/PPI
