Police book Muttahida activist

DADU, Oct 10: Dadu town police have booked Naimatullah Shahani, chief organizer of Mutahedda Qaumi Movement, district Dadu, late on Tuesday night.

According to detail, a lineman of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Dadu, Muhammad Essa lodged an FIR with the Dadu town police against the Muttahida chief organizer of the district, Naimatullah Shahani under section 25 Telegraph Act 1885.

The PTCL lineman had stated in a written complaint that on October 7, 2001, on Sunday evening, Mr Naimatullah Shahani had connected illegally a cable of PTCL through a phone number 611322 near Dadu-Moro bypass, for the telephonic address of the MQM leader Altaf Hussain from London.

The police after registered the FIR against Naimatullah Shahani conducted a raid at his residence to arrest him but he was not present.

BODY FOUND: Sehwan police on Wednesday spotted the body of Muhammad Aslam, 45, son of Faiz Muhammad residence of Hyderabad, in front of a hotel of Sehwan.

Police have lodged a case of accidental death report and handed over the body to Edhi volunteers.
