ISLAMABAD: JUI declares Jihad against US, allies

ISLAMABAD, Oct 10: The Jamiate Ulema-i-Islam (JUI) has declared Jihad against the United States-led coalition forces on their air strikes against innocent people of Afghanistan.

The JUI acting Amir, Maulana Abdul Ghani, said all Muslims were duty bound to wage Jihad against the attackers.

He opposed the US attacks on Afghanistan, terming them as open acts of terrorism.

Describing the US military operation in Afghanistan as an open war against Islam, the JUI leader said that Islam allowed fight against attackers.—PPI
