Fire claims two lives
VEHARI, Oct 9: A man and his daughter were killed while another daughter sustained burn injuries when fire broke out in their house in Chak 541/EB, on Tuesday.
Tahir Husain’s daughters reportedly found the gas cylinder leaking when they went to prepare tea in the kitchen. No sooner had they lit the stove after thorough checking of the pipe by their father, flames began to entrap them. Their father also received burns in an attempt to rescue them.
The residents of the locality rushed to their house after hearing cries and took the injured to a hospital where Tahir succumbed to his wounds. Later, Shabana also breathed her last.
Rukhsana was admitted to the hospital in precarious condition.
