Two injured by Indian firing

SIALKOT, Oct 9: Two villagers were injured by Indian firing in the Sialkot working boundary’s Sucheetgarh sector on Tuesday evening.

Official sources told Dawn that Shams Ahmad of Mundarwal and Muhammad Boota of Thathi Gujran villages were sitting in the courtyards of their houses when bullets fired by the Indian forces hit them.

They were admitted to Sialkot’s Combined Military Hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.

Two buffaloes were also killed by Indian firing in Thathi Kalan village.

According to the sources, the Indian forces continued intensified firing on border villages in Bajwat, Chaprar, Sucheetgarh, Bajragarhi, Harpal, Charwa, Jammu, Zafarwal and Shakargarh sectors of the Sialkot working boundary. Nine houses and paddy crop was badly damaged.

The firing between Chenab rangers and Indian forces was continued till late on Tuesday night.
