UC Nazims to monitor sanitation operations

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Oct 9: Monitoring committees headed by union council Nazims have been set up to identify the areas which need more sanitary workers.

Speaking at a meeting organized by the Shadman Traders Association here, district Nazim Aamir Mahmood said on Tuesday inefficiencies in the Metropolitan Corporation of Lahore, the Lahore Development Authority and the Water and Sanitation Agency were being removed to improve sanitation in the city.

He said the city government would solve civic problems and boost its resources with the cooperation of the private sector.

He also directed the Wasa managing director to immediately arrange for cleaning of the drain adjacent to the market.
