In Cape Town: Western Province 336 (Jonathan Trott 93, Alan Dawson 51, Andrew Puttick 45; Rudi Bryson 4-74). Easterns 236 and 20-1.

In Port Elizabeth: Eastern Province 371-9 declared (Dave Callaghan 80, Carl Bradfield 60, Umar Abrahams 52). Border 276 and 14-0.

In Kimberley: Griquas 380 (Wendell Bossenger 124 not out, Alan Kruger 54). Gauteng 247 and 234-6 (Adam Bacher 69, Johannes Otto 55).

In Potchefstroom: Boland beat North West by nine wickets. North West 243 and 179 (Dirk de Vos 45; Willem du Toit 4-66). Boland 333 and 92-1 (Johannes Strydom 54 not out).

In Bloemfontein: Free State 228 (Ryno Arendse 66, Jimmy Adams 48) and 48-2. Northerns Titans 486-5 declared.

Results of matches in the one-day (50 overs) Red Stripe Bowl tournament played Saturday:

Zone A: In Kingston (Chedwin Park): No-result due to rain. Northern Windwards 117 in 31.1 overs v Leewards.

Zone B: In Georgetown (Bourda Oval): Guyana beat Barbados by 32 runs. Guyana 253-7 in 50 overs (Shivnarine Chanderpaul 54). Barbados 221 all out in 46.5 overs (Pedro Collins 55 not out; Mahendra Nagamootoo 3-45).—Reuters
