Raise in cotton price demanded

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 6: Hundreds of cotton growers of taluka Moro have threatened to block road in case the cotton price was not increased.

They issued this warning during a protest demonstration they staged here the other day.

The protesting growers were chanting slogans against cotton traders and owners of cotton factories.

Talking to newsmen they said even after acute water shortage, the government had received all taxes from them though the growers had spent a big amount on tube-wells.

BIKE ROBBERY: A motorcycle was snatched from one Iqbal Khoso by some unidentified thieves at Jam Noorullah near Kandiaro on late Friday night.

BODY FOUND: Body of a newly born baby was recovered from the Qadh colony near Moro on late Friday night.

Police handed over the body to Edhi volunteers.
