Development schemes, jobs demanded

HUB, Oct 5: Local bodies members of Lasbela district have decided not to allow Arab Sheikhs to use their soil for hunting any more.

Talking to journalists in Bela on Friday, , Nazim Northern Bela Union Council Nazim Sardar Alam Khan Ronjha and others said Arab Sheikhs were using Lasbela since long but in return the local people were not being provided any beneficial projects and job opportunities.

They said the Arabs were also using the areas of Rahim Yar Khan and Kharan for hunting and the residents of the those areas were being given beneficial projects, job opportunities and development schemes.

Sardar Ronjha said if the authorities wanted to allow the Arab Sheikhs to use the area for hunting, they should be bound to provide job opportunities and start development schemes.

Suicide threatened: A resident of Bela on Friday threatened to commit suicide with his 31 family members if his job is not restored.

Imam Shah Lasi said he was an employee of Dawood Yamaha Company, Uthal, but on Aug 7 he was dismissed.

He said he was the only earner of his family.
