SUKKUR, Oct 2: Dacoits shot dead two employees of PARCO, injured one, and took one as hostage from Sui Road, near Kashmor, on late Monday night.
The PARCO employees were patrolling on their mobile so as to check whether everything was okay when the armed dacoits intercepted the vehicle and tried to kidnap the former. However, when they offered resistance, the dacoits opened fire as a result of which two employees — Noor Hasan and Salim Akhter Rajput — were killed on the spot and one, Amjad Khan, was injured. The dacoits overpowered the remaining employee, Aurangzeb, and took him along as a hostage.
They also took away the PARCO vehicle and the employees’ weapons, which included two repeater guns, a double-barrel gun, and 40 cartridges.
DACOITS: Two armed dacoits snatched a bag containing Rs95,000 from an employee, Mahesh Kumar, of the Taluka hospital, Garhi Yaseen, on Tuesday.
The bag contained the salaries of the staff.
NPP LEADER: The car of an NPP leader, Luqman Baloch, came under heavy fire near Nim Khabbar village as a result of which he was seriously injured. He was admitted at the Shikarpur civil hospital.
The cause of the attack could not be ascertained.

Addressing a large gathering of people on this occasion, the Nazim said it was prime responsibility of the elected representatives of local councils to improve living conditions of the people.
He promised a scheme for the construction of road from Royal Road to Azizabad would be undertaken.
He assured the people all old katcha abadis would be regularized so that their residents could also benefit from civic facilities.
Shah said after completion of the survey of development schemes which had been abandoned for want of funds, planning would be made to resume these schemes.
