Infant dies thru doctors’ negligence

VEHARI, Oct 1: A one-year-old baby girl died due to negligence of doctors of the emergency ward in the Lodhran DHQ Hospital on Monday.

Soniya was admitted to the emergency ward on Sunday night suffering from dehydration. Her parents said no doctors or para-medical staff attended the girl.

When her condition deteriorated this morning, the para-medical staff referred her to Bahawalpur Hospital. Soniya died on way to hospital.

They demanded of the health department high-ups to take stern action against the staff concerned.
