LONDON, April 28: Oil prices fell on Monday as traders remained concerned about the prospect of excess supply on world markets after the Opec cartel raised its production quotas last week.

The price of benchmark Brent North Sea crude oil for June delivery dropped 62 cents to $23.47 per barrel.

New York reference light sweet crude June-dated futures were down 53 cents at $25.73 per barrel in early trading.—AFP
